Let's be honest, Australian politics is a bit of a joke.
So with an election year looming, we decided to throw one more hapless leader into the mix. Meet Dale Jeffries, 2003 Regional Jenga Champion and Leader of The Breakers Party. For eight weeks, Dale hit the campaign trail on a mission to overthrow the break-snubbing political elite, by founding a new political party with policies that every Australian could stand up (or sit down) for.
The Breakers Party showed up on Facebook, Twitter, in the press and even on KitKat packs, where Dale recruited a cabinet of 'ministers' to literally sit on his front bench. There were over 120,000 applications (entries) and five lucky punters got the job (won some shit).
